Patients WITHOUT a dental benefit plan:
- Payment is required at the time of service
- 5% cash discount for cash or check payments
- 3% discount when you use your Visa, MasterCard or Discover card
- CareCredit is our financing plan for dental treatment that allows you to pay for it over time with low monthly payment that best fit your budget. Please discuss CareCredit with our staff if you have questions
Patients WITH a dental benefit plan:
We will be happy to submit your dental claims, however, it is important for you to know that we are a participating provider for all Delta Dental plans and any United Concordia dental plans that were a rollover from Dental Service Corporation at BlueCross Blue Shield.
If you have a dental plan that we do not participate with, we will submit your dental claims, but depending on your dental insurance benefits, some of the reimbursement checks will come to our office and others may go directly to the patient.
What does PARTICIPATING mean for the patient?
When our office agrees to participate with a dental insurance company, it means – in simple terms – that you, as our patient receive an additional write off that you are not responsible to pay. This is because of an agreement that we have between the dental insurance company and our office.
What does PARTICIPATING mean for the dentist?
When our office agrees to participate with a dental insurance company, simply put, we agree to the usual and customary reimbursement fees received by the dental insurance company and write off anything over what the reimbursement rate allows which is dependent upon the percentages that the dental insurance company allows for each group plan.
Because some dental insurance companies’ reimbursement rates are so low and the write offs that we take are so high, we cannot participate with all dental insurance companies. This is not financially feasible for our office. That is why we have chosen the best insurance companies to participate with that work for the patients, as well as work for our office.
